ABC Southbank

Designated headquarters for all Melbourne-based ABC employees, the newly refurbished Southbank building was an exciting collaboration between Clear, ABC MAP and Cox Architects. Using classic Helvetica (the ABC’s brand typeface), a unique brand texture and consistent datum, the signage approach is a unified and modular design system that integrates seamlessly with the architecture. The Crown signage on Southbank Boulevard was even designed to fit perfectly within the accent of the facade. The lobby signage is a continuation of the copper ribbon of the veranda, becoming the digital interface of the street. Sign types for the building identification included crown signage, wayfinding and amenity, level markers, privacy screens and welcome wall.
